IN BASEMENT WITH WOOD SUBFLOOR
IN ABOVE GRADE INSTALLATION
1. Be sure the subfloor surface is clean and dry
2. Start in one corner
3. Unroll QuietMaxx with the Moisture Guard film UP. Be sure the seam lock tape strip is next to the wall.
4. Unroll the next row butting close to the first row with the edge underneath the Moisture Guard flap from the first row. Do not overlap the foam, just the seam lock flap.
5. Expose the tape by removing the protective strip and secure the Moisture Guard film flap.
6. Install flooring per manufacturers instructions



IN BASEMENT WITH CONCRETE SUBFLOOR INSTALLATION
1. Be sure the subfloor surface is clean and dry
2. Start in one corner
3. Unroll QuietMaxx with the Moisture Guard film DOWN. Be sure the seam lock tape strip is next to the wall.
4. Unroll the next row butting close to the first row with the edge on top of the Moisture Guard flap from the first row. Do not overlap the foam, just the seam lock flap.
5. Expose the tape by removing the protective strip and secure the Moisture Guard film flap.
6. Install flooring per manufacturers instructions
Note:
New construction installations should be performed only after the building is completely enclosed and the climate control system is in operation for a minimum of two weeks.

In geographic regions where concrete slabs may be subject to higher moisture levels, a calcium chloride test is required. Vapour emission readings in excess of 3 lbs/1000 sq ft in less than 24 hours will require additional protection such as a concrete sealant, moisture abatement, or a 6 mil polyethylene sheeting.
